Loch Moy Farm

Located at Loch Moy Farm near Buckeystown, Maryland, this exciting venue is just 15 minutes from Frederick, Maryland, 30 minutes from Leesburg, Virginia, and only 50 minutes from DC and Baltimore.

The Maryland Horse Trials successfully hosted its 3rd and 4th USEA competitions in July 2007 with back to back weekends of United States Eventing Association recognized Beginner Novice, Novice, Training, Preliminary and Intermediate level horse trials.

Loch Moy Farm provides a spectacular settings for horse trials, with cross country courses running through the beautiful 265-acre farm on the banks of the Monocacy river, with beautiful views of Sugarloaf Mountain.

Transforming a family farm into a first class eventing venue is no easy task, but the existing cross country course has been redesigned by Capt. Mark Phillips built by Eric Bull for levels BN through Intermediate. 68 Permanent stalls with an adjacent indoor have been completed. Plans include a large all-weather arena, new parking areas  and much more!

In the long term, The Maryland Horse Trials will be one part of a comprehensive training and competition facility capable of hosting not only horse trials, but also clinics, schooling days and horse shows of all disciplines. The new cross country schooling course is available by appointment for all levels, BN - Preliminary. Trail riding is also available along the Monocacy river.

In the meantime, check our our Short-Course Eventing Series and feel free to contact The Maryland Horse Trials to find out how you can be a part of the action!
